Collingsworth Family Medicine welcomes Preston Barlow, PA, to its clinic staff.
Special to The Sun—
WELLINGTON — Preston Barlow, physician assistant, has joined the staff of Collingsworth Family Medicine.
Barlow comes to Wellington from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah where he completed a masters of physician assistant studies. He is a National Registered Paramedic and also has a bachelors of science in fire and emergency management.
“Preston is a welcome addition to our team,” Candy Powell, administrator at Collingsworth General Hospital, said. “He expands our clinic’s ability to see more patients and enhances the health services to Wellington and the surrounding areas.”
Barlow is well-known to the area within the fire and EMS services. He has worked in public services for over 20 years as a firefighter and paramedic and in law enforcement.
“I was introduced to the area while flying with Apollo MedFlight,” Barlow said. “But the feeling of community and the friendly people in Wellington really stole my heart. I knew this is where I wanted to live and raise my kids. I am really blessed to be offered a position with Collingsworth General to come back to Texas and be a part of this amazing community.”
Barlow lives in Wellington with his wife and two children. The family enjoys exploring dirt roads and seeing new places with a goal to visit all 50 states by his 10-year wedding anniversary. Barlow’s other hobbies include fishing and working in his yard. He also hopes to take up archery hunting soon.
