Mary K. “Kathy” Watson, 79 of Memphis, died on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 in Memphis.
Graveside services took place at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 26 at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis with Rev. Jackie Blum officiating. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Arrangements were by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Kathy was born on February 25, 1941 in Clarksville, Red River County, Texas to Harley Frances and Doris Elizabeth Woods Kenemore. She married Doyle Watson in May 1987 in Childress.
Kathy was a lifetime resident of Hall County. She moved from Lakeview to Memphis in the 1950s. She had been a cashier at Owens’s Supply prior to her retirement. Kathy served as a devotedSunday School teacher for 30 plus years and always enjoyed helping others. She often cooked meals for friends and family and loved visiting with everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doyle Watson in 2012; two brothers, Donnie and Gail Kenemore; and by a sister, Betty Cruise.
Survivors include three sons, Keith Barnett and wife Mille of Amarillo, Allan Barnett of Memphis and Jerry Barnett and wife Dyane of Amarillo; four sisters, Wanda Canida, Pat Crump, DianneKing and Jan Moss; and by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
