HEDLEY — A double ring ceremony united Miss Tori Sills and Mr. Alabama Bohannon in marriage at 6 in the evening on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Rowe Point Ranch, Hedley. They married outside on an island surrounded by a pond.
Pastor Jared Peddy, brother of the bride of Hillside Christian Church in Canyon officiated. The bride’s chosen colors were black and white with silver dollar eucalyptus greenery.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Greg Looney of Canyon. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Cortez Mays of Amarillo, Mrs. Patricia Sills and the late Jim Sills of Guthrie, Okla. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bill Looney.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bohannon of Wellington. His grandparents are Mrs. Celicia Bohannon and the late Arthur “Bo” Bohannon and Mrs. Doris Freeman and the late Clint “Sonny” Freeman, all of White Deer.
Megan Roberson, friend of the bride of Canyon, served as maid of honor.
Bridal attendants were Kali Peddy, sister of the bride of Canyon and Julia Looney, niece of the bride of Hutto. They wore black asymmetric one shoulder chiffon long dress with a cascading ruffle and slit skirt and carried bouquets of white garden roses, limonium, eucalyptus baby blue, eucalyptus silver dollar, eucalyptus seeded, eucalyptus gunnii, eucalyptus willow, baby’s breath, stock and ranunculus tied with white ribbon.
Sonny Bohannon, brother of the groom of Canyon, served as best man.
Bo Bohannon, brother of the groom of Wellington, Ky Teeter, friend of the groom of Lockney and Adam Bandy, friend of the groom of Canyon, filled the role of groomsmen.
The groom wore a black suit with white tuxedo shirt complete with black tie and vest. His boutonniere featured greenery with white garden roses tied with white ribbon.
Groomsmen wore black vests and pants with a white tuxedo shirt and black tie. Boutonnieres were made of greenery tied with a white ribbon.
Shelley Mays, aunt of the bride who holds a special place in the bride’s heart, walked down the aisle in front of the moms of the bride and groom.
All nieces of the bride, flower girl Maddox Peddy of Canyon carried an aspen wood sign with the words “How About Forever?” and Lennox Peddy, also of Canyon and Abby Looney of Hutto tossed dried white jasmine flowers.
Daxon Peddy, nephew of the bride of Canyon, served as ringbearer. He carried the rings in a small cedar chest box borrowed from the bride’s grandmother.
Presented in marriage by her dad, the bride wore Viola by WToo in ivory. The figure hugging sleeveless strappy silhouette dress comprised a montage of six different embroidered motifs along with iris scallop lace, alba trim, imena lace applique, rhona lace scallop, selasi lace applique, frey lace applique, blino lace applique, illusion tulle and ivory York knit lining with illusion tulle and ivory knit lined buttons down the back. A chapel train completed the bridal attire.
She carried a bouquet of limonium, eucalyptus baby blue, eucalyptus silver dollar, eucalyptus seeded, eucalyptus gunnii, eucalyptus willow, baby’s breath, stock, white roses, white garden roses and ranunculus tied with a white shabby chic ribbon lined with white pearls.
Kobe Looney, brother of the bride, and Gabe Looney, nephew of the bride, both of Hutto served as ushers.
Guest registry attendants were Bryanna Medel Bohannon and Bella Padilla Bohannon of Wellington, both cousins of the groom.
Parents and grandparents were seated to Forever to Go by Chase Rice.
The bridal party processional entered to Stand by Me by Kina Grannis and Imaginary Future.
The bride proceeded down the aisle to Can’t Help Falling in Love by Kina Grannis.
The bride and groom experienced their first communion together and tied a cord of three strands to Highlands (Song of Ascent) by Hillside UNITED.
The recessional was to You Make My Dreams Come True by Daryl Hall and John Oates.
The bride and groom danced to Pushing Up Daisies by Brothers Osborne for their first dance. The bride and her dad had the first dance to Letting You Go by Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. The groom and his mom followed by dancing to Simple Man (Original acoustic) by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
A reception followed in the barn at the same location. For the Love of Custom Catering catered the dinner followed by a dance. White cloths draped the tables lined down the center with silver dollar eucalyptus with white roses and baby breath intertwined with string lights.
The bride and groom served each other wedding cake by Aunt T’s Sweet Treats. Guests enjoyed white, chocolate, strawberry and red velvet cake along with sugar and chocolate chips cookies and chocolate covered strawberries. Reception attendants were Laura Looney, sister-in-law of the bride of Hutto, Brittni Bohannon, sister of the groom and Samantha Bohannon, sister-in-law of the groom, both of Wellington and Lisa Boulware, aunt of the bride of Oklahoma City.
Tori graduated from Canyon High School. She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from West Texas A&M University in Canyon. She will graduate with her Master of Science in nursing with an emphasis in education in the fall from WTAMU. She is a registered nurse and works for Texas Oncology as a nurse navigator.
A graduate of Wellington High School, Alabama earned his Bachelor of Science in agricultural education from WTAMU. He is a lending officer for First United Bank of Canyon.
The couple took a honeymoon to Fredericksburg and resides in Canyon.
