Nancy Adair

Nancy Sue Thomas Lindsey Adair, 70 of Wellington, passed away Monday, September 7, 2020.

Graveside services took place at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 10 at North Fairview Cemetery with Kerry Hookstra, former minister of the First Christian

Church officiating. Arrangements were by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.

Nancy’s grandsons served as pallbearers.

She arrived August 28, 1950 in Wellington to Zook and Leatha Bennett Thomas. Nancy married Bill Lindsey on June 1, 1968 in Wellington. He died in 2004. On February 25, 2006, she married Jerry Adair, also in Wellington.

Nancy graduated from Wellington High School in 1968 and later from Clarendon College School of Cosmetology. She owned and operated Nancy’s Place since May 1976.

She served as a member of the First Christian Church and VFW Auxiliary. Nancy took an active part in the Wellington Ex-Student Association and was a former member of the Eastern Star.

Nancy was also preceded in death by her parents, her granddaughter Ky-Ann Green, a daughter Tandie Adair Kenser and a son Robert Thomas Adair.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Adair of Point Cedar, Ark.; three daughters, DeJon Wynn-O’Rear and Danielle Morgan and her husband Scott, both of Amarillo and Diana Lindsey-Torres of Wellington; her brother John Thomas and his wife Geneva of Wellington; 12 grandchildren, Quentin O’Rear and Markeisha, Mathew Wynn and Cari-Anna, Kaiti Tate and Jason, Jessie Wright and Jesse, Kelvin Wynn, Lindsay Hill and Daniel, Patric Green, Kayla Green, and Emma, Mattye and Timaree Morgan; and 19 great grandchildren, Tryston, Mallory, Tyler, Ayz’lin, Jaylah, Naomi and Quenly O’Rear, Karson Webb, Layton and Stratton Wynn, Mackenzie, Abigail, William, Emily, Ethan, Jude, Logan and baby Tate and R.J. Wright.

The family suggests that memorials be to the Wellington Opportunity Center, PO Box 122, Wellington, TX 79095.

    Our whole family is deeply sorry for the loss of our dear friend Nancy. She will forever be missed for her bubbly personality and her big as life heart. We are so sorry for her family especially her three beautiful daughters and
    her loving husband Jerry.
