CHILDRESS – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) announced closure of two FM railroad grade crossings in Kirkland to allow for replanking work.
Beginning Aug. 25, the railroad grade crossing on FM 1033 in Kirkland will close, followed by FM 2638, west of Kirkland on Aug. 31, according to a release. The closures are expected to last for two days each.
During the repair work, motorists will need to seek an alternate crossing, the release stated.
