Permits, fees on honor system
By Whitney Wyatt/The Red River Sun—
CHILDRESS – Because of COVID-19 and the hot temperatures, residents have not been going to Baylor Lake, according to Roy Rapavi, General Manager of Baylor Lake.
“It’s been awful hot here,” Rapavi said. “If it gets cooler, fishing may pick up again.”
There is still no camping, he added.
During this pandemic, Rapavi said permits and fees are on an honor system. The honor box is located in front of the bait store by the door.
“It will stay this way until the pandemic is gone,” he said.
