CHILDRESS – Childress Healthcare Center recently celebrated its certified nursing assistants (CNA) during CNA Week.
Reynalda Juarez started at Childress Healthcare Center 16 years ago. Childress Healthcare Center Administrator Amanda Self said Juarez’s aunt Esmeralda Juarez, who also works at Childress Healthcare Center, inspired her to become a CNA.
“Reynalda loves our residents and enjoys being their biggest motivator,” Self added. “She helps out as our medical records and transportation coordinator when she is not working the floor as a CNA.”
Susan Esparsa, who has worked at Childress Healthcare Center for nine years, was voted Employee of the Year by the Childress Chamber of Commerce this year. Self said she is kind, generous and always a tremendous team player.
“No matter what help is needed, Susan is there to provide it,” Self said. “She works tirelessly in the nursing department, kitchen and even helps in housekeeping. The residents and staff love her.”
Cassie Shepherd has worked at Childress Healthcare Center for two years. Self said she recently completed her Nurse Aid Training at Clarendon College.
“She loves to help people and says the residents here are so sweet,” Self explained. “She loves that all the staff at Childress Healthcare Center are a team.”
Toni Smith, who has been at Childress Healthcare Center for almost two years, has been a CNA for 18 years. “The loving patients and great co-workers are why I love Childress Healthcare Center,” Smith said.
Celeste Richard has been a CNA at Childress Healthcare Center for the last seven months. “To help someone who needs and wants your help gives me a great feeling,” Richard said. “I feel like I matter to the residents, and they truly matter to me.”
