Friends, family honor couple

WELLINGTON — Miss Savanna Ratliff, bride-elect of Jared Martinez, was honored with a miscellaneous bridal shower on Saturday, June 20, at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Guests called between the hours of one and two in the afternoon.

The honoree greeted visitors as they entered and requested that each sign the guestbook.

A floral arrangement consisting of roses, lilies and carnations in various shades of pink intertwined with green ivy centered the table draped with a white cut-out tablecloth.

Guests dined on an assortment of fruit, hors d-oeuvres and appetizers and sipped punch. All enjoyed sitting and visiting at tables accented with petite vases filled with fresh baby’s breath.

Gifts were displayed on tables which bordered the room.
Special guests of the bride attending the shower were the bride’s grandmother, Betty Rios and her aunt, Elitha Worley.

Special guests of the groom attending the shower included his mother, Kelley Martinez, and his sister, Meagan Nippert. The groom’s aunts, LeeAnn Green, Eva Hamby and Carrie Martinez also attended.

Hostesses for the occasion were Mrs.Peggy Allred, Mrs. Karoline Ashmore, Mrs. Melanie Baumgardner, Mrs. Dianna Bohannon, Mrs. Cristin Davis, Mrs. Dottie Davis, Mrs. Renessa Klink, Mrs. Tina Souder, Mrs. Trish Ward, Mrs. Cindy Weatherly and Mrs. Doris Wilbur.
