MEMPHIS – Residents at the Memphis Convalescent Center express their love and appreciation for their volunteers by hand painting cards to tell them how much they are missed.
“Our volunteers are fantastic,” Memphis Convalescent Center Administrator Stacy McGhee said. “They love our residents, and our residents love them.”
Because of COVID-19, the volunteers who usually come visit the residents are not allowed to for the time being to keep everyone safe. To remind the volunteers of how much they are missed, McGhee said the residents expressed their creativity and painted each of them cards.
“We miss our volunteers greatly and cannot wait until they are allowed to visit again,” McGhee said.
Painting these cards was a great activity for the residents, McGhee added.
