WELLIINGTON — On Saturday, June 6, family and friends gathered in the shade of the oak trees on the front lawn of the First United Methodist Church to honor Scott and Haley Neeley Cooper with a drive-by bridal shower. Guests called from 10 to 11:30 in the morning.
The new bride and her mother, Kassie Neeley, greeted visitors. The honorees wore corsages of fresh flowers.
Special guests were Bailey, Kaylee Jo and Shaylee Neeley, sisters of the bride; Kelly Bawcom, aunt of the bride; Kimber, Kendra and Kaitlin Bawcom, cousins of the bride; and Donna Maxwell, great aunt of the bride.
A white lace cloth draped the small registration and refreshment table. Featuring a photo of the couple, a bouquet of orange roses, sunflowers, burgundy carnations, viking daisies, Queen Anne’s lace and baby’s breath nestled with gunni eucalyptus in a large clear vase weighted with rocks served as the centerpiece. Floral napkins reflected the bride’s chosen colors captured in the floral arrangement.
Hostess Lanna Reeves served individually wrapped decorated sugar cookies with the names of the couple scripted in gold icing. Chilled flavored and sparkling water refreshed the crowd.
Guests viewed the many gifts displayed on white rectangular tables placed end to end. Chairs lined the back of the lawn for guests to visit. Many enjoyed catching up on happenings after being somewhat secluded for three months due to COVID-19.
Tracey Bell, Cristin Davis, Janie Duncan, Debbie Henard, Terri Morris, Bev Odom, Christie O’Rear, Marcie Orr, Sharon Patterson, D’Nae Souder, Carrie Warren and Landey Waters also served as hostesses.
