Reta Mae Thomas, age 78 of Wellington, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020.
Graveside services took place at 11 a.m. Monday, June 1 in Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. R.L. Hunnicutt, pastor of the Victory Temple Full Gospel Church officiating.
Arrangements were by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.
Joey Green, Robert Coffee, Chester Fowler and Ron Roberson served as honorary pallbearers.
Born on September 21, 1941 in Wellington, to William M. and Stella Wilder Blades, Reta married Bob L. Thomas on February 21, 1958 in Hollis, Okla. He died in 2001.
Reta worked for many years in meat markets that she and her husband owned and operated as a wrapper. She attended the Abundant Life Church.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters.
Reta is survived by her son Randy Thomas and his wife Delia of Wellington; two daughters, Brenda Larned and her husband Jim of Canyon and Tammy Riley of Wellington; two sisters, Dorothy Roberson and Etta McDonald, both of Wellington; a sister-in-law, Judy Thomas of Wellington; a brother-in-law, Glenn Thomas of Wellington; and 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Wellington EMS or Home Delivered Meals in care of the funeral home at 1300 East Avenue, Wellington, TX 79095.
